A Ray of Hope: Fatima and the Journey of Waiting
Fatima, a woman from Doan, had not been blessed with a child for 25 years. A spark of hope ignited when she learned about the maternity follow-up services at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic in the Primary Healthcare Center. She discovered these services while visiting her neighbor, who had conceived after six years of marriage.
Encouraged, Fatima visited the center and began follow-ups with a specialist doctor, using prescribed medications. However, the prolonged period of infertility made her hesitant to continue the treatment. She stopped visiting the clinic for a year, only returning when she experienced symptoms of fever.
She initially visited the internal medicine clinic, but one of the advantages of the center was its electronic medical record system. The doctor noticed that Fatima had previously been under the care of an obstetrician-gynecologist and promptly referred her back to the same specialist. The doctor conducted various tests, including a pregnancy test.
The results brought a ray of hope and a new turning point in Fatima’s life—after 25 years of patience, she was finally going to become a mother, God willing.
