As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships with government entities, H.E. the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Amin Noman Al-Qudsi, met in the interim capital Aden with a delegation from Al-Awn Development Foundation, headed by the Executive Director, Dr. Abdulilah Abdulqader bin Othman, to explore prospects for joint cooperation in developing higher education institutions and advancing the quality of academic performance.

The meeting addressed ways to support the Ministry’s direction toward improving education quality. H.E. the Minister emphasized that education represents a fundamental pillar in addressing current challenges, praising the active role played by Al-Awn Development Foundation—particularly through its adoption of the National Tool for Ranking Yemeni Universities and its continued focus on promoting quality standards in education.

Both sides also discussed opportunities for collaboration in digital transformation, automation, and the development of technical infrastructure within higher education institutions, contributing to enhanced transparency and more efficient monitoring and evaluation systems.

For its part, Al-Awn Development Foundation reviewed key areas of its ongoing partnership with the Ministry, foremost among them the National Tool for Ranking Yemeni Universities. The Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to continuing cooperation, supporting institutional development efforts, and transferring best practices and expertise in academic ranking and digital transformation—ultimately contributing to improved higher education outcomes and sustainable development.
