In the framework of enhancing cooperation with civil society organizations, H.E. the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Mr. Mokhtar Alyafai, met in the interim capital Aden with a delegation from Al-Awn Development Foundation to explore areas of partnership and coordinate humanitarian and development efforts in alignment with national priorities.

The meeting included an in-depth discussion of the Foundation’s programs and areas of work, as well as mechanisms for coordinating humanitarian interventions to avoid duplication and improve efficiency. Both sides also explored opportunities for collaboration in institutional capacity building, supporting the education sector, vocational training and qualification, and strengthening governance and transparency in project implementation.

H.E. the Minister emphasized the importance of building effective partnerships with civil society organizations, stressing the need to direct humanitarian efforts toward serving people and achieving sustainable impact. He also highlighted the importance of ensuring quality outcomes and aligning training programs with labor market needs.

For his part, the Executive Director of Al-Awn Development Foundation, Dr. Abdulilah bin Othman, reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to the principles of transparency and neutrality, expressing its readiness to enhance cooperation with the Ministry in implementing high-impact programs, particularly in vocational training and youth empowerment, contributing to sustainable development.
