Al-Awn Foundation for Development Funds Project to Raise Awareness of Technical and Vocational Education, Empowering Over 400 Youth

As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting quality education and youth empowerment, Al-Awn Foundation for Development funded the Community Awareness Enhancement Project on the Importance of Technical and Vocational Education, implemented by Qatrat Foundation for Development between 2019 and 2022.

The project resulted in the graduation of 197 young men and women in the field of electrical installations, 104 graduates from welding courses, and 118 graduates from food industries courses, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 419 graduates.

The project aims to equip youth with vocational skills that enable them to enter the labor market and secure sustainable sources of income, thereby enhancing their economic capabilities and reducing unemployment in society.

This initiative is considered a key program in livelihood support and in achieving one of the Sustainable Development Goals — providing decent work opportunities and promoting inclusive economic growth. The project reflects Al-Awn Foundation’s dedication to investing in human capital through the support of technical and vocational training programs that contribute to community development and sustainable progress.
