
The Saudi Development Program and Al-Awn Foundation Launch Third-Term Exams in Lahj as Part of the Rural Education Project
The third-term exams for the second year of the Rural Access to Education Project were officially launched yesterday morning in Tuban District, Lahj Governorate. The project is jointly funded by the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen (SDRPY) and Al-Awn Foundation for Development.
The launch event was attended by Mr. Nabeel Al-Shaari, Director General of Training at the Ministry of Education, who conveyed greetings from His Excellency the Minister of Education, Mr. Tareq Al-Akbari, and the Deputy Minister for Training and Qualification, Dr. Zaid Qahtan. Both expressed their appreciation for the efforts made to ensure the project's success in the governorate.
Mr. Fahmi Bajash, Director of the Education Office in Lahj, emphasized the importance of educational training in enhancing teaching performance and praised the role of partners in supporting the educational process.
For his part, Mr. Akram Bajahm, the Project Director, expressed his appreciation for the high level of commitment and engagement in Lahj. He conveyed greetings from both the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen and Al-Awn Foundation for Development, and acknowledged the cooperation of the institute’s administration in ensuring the success and sustainability of the project.
This project represents a significant step toward empowering rural women through academic qualification, contributing to the improvement of education quality in remote areas. It also reflects the impact of the effective partnership between the SDRPY, Al-Awn Foundation, and the Ministry of Education in building a promising and sustainable educational future in Yemen.
